Jeff Charbonneau

Jeff is a dedicated business advisor with focus on helping company owners create and operationalize strategy to realize their business and financial objectives.

With over 30 years experience in executive leadership, commercial growth strategy, general management, and mergers and acquisitions, Jeff has a deep understanding of how to recognize opportunities, resolve growth constraints, transform culture, and work with clients to establish plans that deliver sustainable results.

'I view life as a growth adventure, and if I am not constantly being challenged and learning new things, then I feel that I am diminishing as a person'.

Case in point, after success as a corporate executive for a retail pharmacy company, Jeff transitioned to a multi-franchise owner/operator. This era was followed by becoming a principal in several small business ventures (including real estate development projects, business consulting, and co-founding partner of an investment advisory practice). Looking for a new challenge to further grow his business acumen, he served as Managing Director of a global Private Equity firm from 2017-2020; there he led the investment committee in acquiring 13 companies for a combined enterprise value > $300 Million (EBITDA run rate $50 Million), and also headed up the Portfolio Strategy division which focused on portfolio company growth, improvement and governance.

It is a diversified and expansive portfolio of roles, but Jeff has always had an overarching focus of creating value for others, underpinned by intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. As Co-Founder and Managing Director at Mason Capital Group since 2014, he currently focuses on business advisory services, with the ultimate goal of solving big problems and growing shareholder value for his clients.

In addition to his passion for business and investing, Jeff enjoys quality time with his family and friends, keeping fit, reading Stephen King, and spending time outdoors.
